About us

The restaurant and hotel Korona was established in 1996. It used to be a motel. So far, many people say so.

The present appearance of the restaurant is a project of architect Paul Laskus.

In the restaurant’s early years, there was a telephone at each table, from which you could call the bar for an order or to talk to guests at another table.

Restaurants light original lamps from ships from the twentieth century. Only two are identical in the restaurant, so move your head up and we are looking. 🙂

There are a lot of photographs and postcards in the hall of the Past Klodzko, showing the city over the years.

The heart of the Village Hall is a brick tiled stove reflecting the atmosphere of an XIX-century room. The author of the project is Paul Laskus. Each tile of the stove was made by hand by the Independent Art Studio from Nowa Ruda. The stove is the only source of heating in the room, it is entirely seasonal beech wood-fired.

In 2012 we competed in the National Competition “I have a fireplace”. For the title of the most beautiful stove and fireplace in Poland. The stoves and fireplaces participating in the competition were evaluated in terms of aesthetics, functionality with technological and ecological solutions used in them. We took first place in the competition and were awarded the main prize Fiat Punto EVO. We solemnly handed over the winning car to the children from the Children’s Home in Klodzko, and we ourselves were left with a furnace, pride and memories. The car is still used by children up to this day.

The orangery is filled with plants, so it is green all year round. The wonderful atmosphere is created by plant species such as wing flowers, epipremnum, etc.

At the reception guests are welcomed by a large collection of plates from the PRL. All original, causing in the older memories and in the younger ones a smile 🙂

The entrances to the toilets are guarded by male and female figures.

History is written every day. Who knows, maybe something will happen today that will be on this timeline?
